Planeta Venus inició como un programa de Radio en Español que nació de la necesidad de conectar y comunicar a la comunidad Latina en el área de Wichita, Kansas. Esta surgió de la inspiración de Claudia Amaro y el apoyo y colaboración de La Raza 99.7 FM una estación local que llegó a Wichita en el año 2014.

El 2 de Noviembre del 2015, Planeta Venus inicia transmisiones desde la cabina de La Raza 99.7 a las 8 p.m. con el tema "Día de Muertos Vs Halloween."

 

El objetivo de este programa ha sido desde un principio el de entretener, informar y abrir un espacio para la comunidad Hispana en el área.

 

¿Porque llamarlo Planeta Venus? ¿Han escuchado o leído el libro "Los Hombres son de marte Las mujeres de Venus", del autor John Gray? Pues Claudia quiso iniciar un programa que abarcaría todo tipo de temas y le daría la bienvenida a todos pero compartido desde la perspectiva femenina. Al principio el horario fue un reto ¡Luchar contra las novelas! y ¡En Lunes! Poco a poco las personas se fueron sumando a los radioescuchas que cada lunes esperaban que iniciara el programa con diversos temas de interés general. Ahora Planeta Venus inicia transmisión vía internet como una estación de radio completa para continuar entreteniendo e informando a los Latinos de todo Kansas y del mundo entero además es el medio de Noticias en español más confiable en Kansas.

Planeta Venus started as a Radio show that was created out of the need to connect and communicate to the Latino community in the Wichita, Kansas area. This arose from the inspiration of Claudia Amaro and the support and collaboration of La Raza 99.7 FM, a local Radio station that arrived to Wichita in 2014.

On November 2, 2015, Planet Venus started broadcasting from the offices of La Raza 99.7 at 8 p.m. with the theme "Day of the Dead Vs Halloween."

The objective of the show has always been to entertain, inform and open a space for the Hispanic community in the area.

 

Why did we choose the name Planet Venus? Have you heard about or read the book "Men are from Mars, Women of Venus", by the author John Gray? Well, Claudia wanted to start a program that would cover all kinds of topics and would welcome everyone but it would be shared from the female perspective. At first the schedule was challenging but little by little people started to join and later people were waiting to listen the show every Monday with various topics of general interest. Planeta Venus now begins streaming via the internet to continue to entertain and inform Latinos across Kansas and around the world.
